The expression of interest process is now open, visit the Melbourne Market website to find out more and submit your expression of interest by 31 July 2016.

Don’t forget, the MMA is also accepting expressions of interest for building 7. This is small format warehousing, with direct light commercial vehicle access – ideal for greengrocers and provedores. Check out the plan here

Has your certificate of currency expired?

Most certificate’s of currency (CoC) for public liability insurance expire on 30 June.

If you’re CoC has expired, you will need to supply the MMA with a new version as a condition of your lease or licence agreement with the MMA.

What you need to do

  1. Check your records, or check with your insurance provider to see if your CoC has expired.
  2. If it has, request a new CoC from your insurance provider.
  3. Submit this to the MMA via info@melbournemarket.com.au.

For more information, contact the MMA on 9258 6100.

Site works

Access to disabled toilets in the Market.

Last week, maintenance to the disables toilets was completed. This included fixing all locks, but also included installation of swipe card access to these facilities.

The swipe card mechanism is designed to ensure these toilets remain vacant and clean for those who really need them.

What this means for you

If you require access to the disabled toilets, you will need to apply for access via the Melbourne Market Customer Service Centre.

Visit the Customer Service Centre, located at tenancy 80 on the Buyers’ Walk from 4:00am and 11:00am Monday to Friday or contact them on 9258 6123 or emailcustomerservice@melbournemarket.com.au.

Did you know?

Forklift LPG tags are linked with the business owner, not the forklift. Therefore, if you sell or transfer your forklift to another business, you must return the LPG tag to the MMA or you will continue to receive invoices for the LPG.

Contact the MMA on 9258 6100 for more information.

Can you help make a wish come true?

Make-A-Wish Australia grants the wishes of children aged 3-18 who are battling life-threatening illnesses. A wish has made it’s way to the Market, and now is your chance to get involved!

With incredible support from The Style Co, Make-A-Wish is currently preparing a very special wish for Breanna, 12, who wishes to be an event manager.

Breanna wishes to organise a very special fundraising Ball, to help make wishes come true for other seriously ill children. She has chosen a fairytale theme, featuring her six favourite fables, because she believes, “In Fairytales, wishes come true.”

Breanna is seeking a donation of 100 red apples to help her create some stunning table centre pieces for the Snow White section of the venue!

They’re also looking for a range of flowers and foliage, if you, or someone you know can donate these, get in touch today!

Breanna was born with biliary atresia, which stopped her liver from working properly. Fortunately one day a couple of years ago, a magical phone call came and Breanna received a life-saving liver transplant.

With this second chance at a healthy life, Breanna decided she wants to help other really sick children through her passion for parties.

If you’re interesting in helping out and would like to donate, contact Tim from The Style Co by clicking the button below.

Thank you for helping to make this wish come true!
