Drug and alcohol awareness training for managers this week

Don’t forget to RSVP for a drug and alcohol awareness training session this Thursday morning.

The session will cover:

  • Risks for your business and how to manage them
  • The impact of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
  • How to identify whether employees are affected by drugs and alcohol at work
  • How to approach and respond to employees affected by drugs and alcohol

The session will be led by Martin de Graaf, Manager, Health and Community, Melbourne Polytechnic.

Martin has worked for many years in education and the community services sector and has a great deal of experience as an alcohol and other drug counsellor and educator.

Anzac Day trading hours reminder

A reminder the Fruit and Vegetable Market will be closed on Wednesday 25 April 2018 for the Anzac Day public holiday.

The following trading hours will apply for the Fruit and Vegetable Market:

  • Tuesday 24 April: Normal trading hours
  • Wednesday 25 April: Closed
  • Thursday 26 April: Normal trading hours

If your parking permit only allows access on a day where a public holiday falls, and you would like to come to the Market on an alternative adjacent day (for example your parking permit is for a Wednesday and you would like to access the Market on Thursday 26 April), you will not be charged for parking and can enter the Market. However please note, your regular bay may not be available. Please seek instruction from a Market Relations Officer on arrival.

Warehouse access remains unchanged. Access for warehouse tenants is 24 hours 7 days a week.

Offices for rent

Two prime open plan office spaces are now available for rent on the ground floor of the Administration Building at the Melbourne Market.

The details are as follows:

  • Office G01 – 76sqm including an internal office from $435 a week (plus GST, outgoings and parking)
  • Office G32 – small office available from $165 a week (plus GST, outgoings and parking).

Located at the front of the Market with direct access to the visitors car park, this location allows for an ideal office position to see your external clients.

Greengrocery Training Program enrolments

Melbourne Polytechnic is now taking enrolments for the Greengrocery Training Program.

The program consists of two training courses:

  • Certificate 2 in Greengrocery
  • Certificate 3 in Greengrocery

Both courses have been developed specifically for those wishing to have a career within the Greengrocery industry.

Melbourne Polytechnic representatives will have pop up stands at the Melbourne Market tomorrow from 5am to 7.30am.

Come along and meet with them to discuss your training options and enrol in one of the two courses.
