Webinar on fruit fly management
Fruit flies are one of the most serious pests in horticulture.
A series of five videos and an accompanying handbook have been produced to help combat the pests, titled Fruit fly management for vegetable growers.
The resources outline the strategies available to growers to manage fruit fly in vegetable crops, including the fruit fly lifecycle, monitoring, use of protein baiting, male annihilation techniques and netting.
A webinar this Friday will provide an interactive overview of these resources, and the chance to interact with lead researcher Dr Jenny Ekman from AHR.
Date: Friday 19 May 2017
Time: 12:30pm – 1:30pm (AEST)
