Hume Freeway closure next week
The Hume Freeway will be closed between Cooper Street and the Metropolitan Ring Road for three nights next week. Please see below important information regarding this closure.
Dates: Monday, 6 March; Tuesday, 7 March and Wednesday, 8 March.
Times: 8.00pm to 5.00am
The following diversions will be in place:
- Traffic travelling southbound along the Hume Freeway to the Market will be diverted at the Craigieburn exit to the Hume Highway and can turn left onto Cooper Street.
- Traffic travelling west along the Metropolitan Ring Road to the Market will be diverted at the Sydney Road exit to Sydney Road and can turn right onto Cooper Street.
Electronic road signs will be in place to help guide drivers through the detours. For further information visit VicRoads.
Labour Day trading hours
 Please see below the trading hours for the Labour Day long weekend.
Fruit and Vegetable Market:
– Friday, 10 March – 2:30am – 7.00am (open an hour earlier)
– Labour Day Monday, 13 March – Market CLOSED
– Tuesday, 14 March – 4.30am – 7.30am (normal trading hours)
Warehouse access remains unchanged. Access for warehouse tenants is 24 hours 7 days a week.
Flower Market:
Labour Day Monday, 13 March: Market closed
If your parking permit only allows access on a day where a public holiday falls and you would like to come to the Market on an alternative adjacent day, you will not be charged for parking and can enter the Market. However, please note your regular bay may not be available. Please seek instruction from a Market Relations Officer on arrival. |
