Foodbank collections have resumed
After a short break over the holiday period, Foodbank have resumed their collections from the Market this week.
Organic product that is fit for human consumption can continue to be donated to Foodbank next to Store 148 Monday to Friday from 6.30 am until 9.00 am and is tax deductible at the Market price of the produce.

Australia Day public holiday
The Market will be closed on Thursday 26 January for the Australia Day public holiday. The following trading hours will apply for the Fruit and Vegetable Market:
- Wednesday 25 January: 3:00am to 7:30am.
- Thursday 26 January: Market Closed
- Friday 27 January: 3:30am to 7:00am
If you parking permit only allows access on a day where a public holiday falls, and would like to come to the Market on an alternative adjacent day (for example your parking permit is for a Thursday and you would like to access the Market on either Wednesday 25 January or Friday 27 January), you will not be charged for parking and can enter the Market. However please note, your regular bay may not be available. Please seek instruction from a Market Relations Officer on arrival.
Warehouse access remains unchanged. Access for warehouse tenants is 24 hours 7 days a week.
VicRoads warning all drivers to plan ahead as extensive roadworks will be carried out across Melbourne between 26 December 2016 and 25 January 2017. Electronic road signs and advice about alternative routes will help guide drivers through the work zones and detours.
Save the Date: Chinese New Year 2017
2017 is the year of the Fire Rooster, and while Chinese New Year falls on Saturday 28 January, the Market will be celebrating with a traditional lion dance touring the Market on Tuesday 31 January from 5:00am.
