#LoveMUM Mother’s Day Campaign has started!

This year’s Mother’s Day campaign takes the public on the journey of locally grown flowers. This emotive, contemporary campaign encourages consumers to support local businesses (growers, florists and fruit and veg shops that sell flowers) and purchase fresh flowers for mum this Mother’s Day.

The campaign features a combination of activities, including a short video that will be used on social media platforms, radio advertisements across Nova 100 and Smooth FM and in-store posters.

The radio advertisements will be played until the 9th of May, and if you haven’t caught it on the radio for yourself yet, you can listen to it here.

The video follows ‘flowers grown with love for mum’ from the local grower to Melbourne Market and then being bought in a retail florist by what some would see as a non-conventional customer. The video is sure to bring a smile to those who see it; watch it for yourself below, and be sure to share it on your social channels to spread the word!

Watch the Mother’s Day video here and share it across your social media! Spread the message with #LoveMUM

Share the campaign with your network

If your fruit and veg store also sells flowers, then now is the time to get involved and start promoting the Mother’s Day campaign to your customers. You can do this a couple of ways:

1) Share the above video across your Facebook page and share the message of Love Mum, Love Local. Don’t forget to use the #LoveMum on your social media posts.

2) Download the below picture by clicking on it and saving it, and then use it across your social media pages.

Training and education are critical when implementing a drug and alcohol policy

Drug and alcohol policies protect your employees and your company, but it’s not good enough to just write a policy and forget about it; training and education are the keys to effective implementation. Getting team ‘buy-in’ through education is crucial as drug and alcohol testing in the workplace is a sensitive subject.

At TDDA (The Drug Detection Agency) we tailor our employee education programmes to suit the employees in your company.

Our 75-minute employee education session includes topics like work health and safety legislation; introducing your drug and alcohol policy; drug abuse risks and effects; drug testing; testing procedures and what to expect.

Our four-hour management training covers work health and safety legislation; understanding drug use and testing deliverables; drug use signs, symptoms, indicators and paraphernalia; establishing reasonable grounds; compliance and more.

TDDA also offers a full-day Comprehensive Substance Identification Training (CSi), the highest level of drug identification training for supervisors and managers.

TDDA is now a tenant in the market administration building, and this is where we’re now providing our high-quality drug and alcohol testing, training and educations services to market businesses. To learn more about TDDA visit us at TDDA.com or call Michael Pivac, General Manager for TDDA Tullamarine & Thomastown, on 0410 158 474.

Did you know that the 1st of May was officially national banana day! To celebrate the day, and spread the message to the market community, LaManna Premier Group put together a very unique display last Friday. If you were lucky enough to go past you would have seen their smoothie bikes on hand where you could jump on and blend your own smoothie! It was great to see so many people get involved.

If your business is planning any market activation events, please let us know by sending an e-mail to marketing@melbournemarket.com.au with the details so we can support you.
