Market Advisory Committee Meetings

The Market advisory committees will hold a joint meeting on Tuesday, 6 September. You can ask your advisory committee members to raise questions or ideas with the MMA.

Advisory committees work with the Melbourne Market Authority to advise on matters relating to Market operations and the fresh produce industry. Committee members are a great source of information and advice for Market users. To find out who the members of the advisory committees are, please visit the MMA website.

Updated Melbourne Market Operating Rules
The MMA recently undertook a review of the site Operating Rules and has made changes to improve the health, safety and overall operation of the Melbourne Market.

Businesses and Market users must familiarise themselves with the changes. The complete updated Operating Rules can be found online. All operating rule changes come into effect as of 1 September 2022.

Should you have any questions, please contact Rob Rotondi, Operations Manager on 03 9258 6169 or Amy Dyer, Assistant Operations Manager on 03 9258 6128.

Seven years of trade at Epping

Tomorrow on the 31st August we mark 7 years of trade at Epping!

The Market has seen plenty of development with new businesses, expansion and growth over the years, as we continue to make sure the Melbourne Market is the best place to do business.

This is a great opportunity to reflect on our rich history and look forward to the bright future ahead!

Happy Anniversary Epping!

Fine Food Australia Expo
The Melbourne Market will showcase fresh produce at one of the largest food services, catering and manufacturing trade events. The Fine Food Australia Expo will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from Monday 5th to Thursday 8th September.

After the success of the Food Services Expo earlier this year, we are looking for participation and support from our market community. There is an opportunity for wholesalers to attend the event, showcase their produce and connect with an expected 20,000 visitors over the four-day event.

This event will be followed by a Melbourne Market Industry Open Day on Thursday, 6 October.

If you would like your business to be showcased, including having your produce displayed and sampled at the event, contact Theresa on 9258 6191.
