Market Gym Expression of Interest Survey

The MMA is currently assessing the opportunity of providing a 24-7 gym facility at the Melbourne Market. Initial feedback for the facility has been extremely positive. We now seek to gauge market users’ interest via the survey below.

Thank you to everyone who completed the survey last week, this will be the last week to provide feedback on the proposed 24-7 gym facility. If you would like to provide your feedback, please do so by Sunday, 31 March.

A better choice! at the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival

Over the weekend the A better choice! team was out in force at Federation Square to spread the word about shopping at your local fruit and veg shop.  Ayse was on site handing out branded bags with the just-released autumn edition magazine to the masses with the help of Nikki from Fresh State (although disguised as a strawberry for part of the day) and Hayley and Ellen from the MMA.

The team were busy handing out fresh produce samples, including new season mandarines, dragonfruit and delicious strawberries, showcasing the quality produce available from local fruit and veg shops across Victoria.

Special guest Thanh was in his Fruitnerd element on Sunday, sharing his tips on selecting the best produce and answering the question ‘what actually is a jujube?’. Thanh helped draw a large crowd to the stand and helped the team receive over 800 sign-ups to the A better choice! mailing list. Everyone who signed up on the day will go into the draw to win a $250 voucher to your local greengrocer, with the winner to be announced shortly.

A better choice! is the national independent retailer marketing program developed to encourage consumers to shop at their local fruit and vegetable shop and independent supermarkets. The Melbourne Market Authority and Fresh State are proud to co-fund and support the program in Victoria.
