Children in the Market

Children in the Market is back these school holidays, giving everyone a chance to bring their kids into the Market to see Mum or Dad in action at work.
Children will be allowed to enter the Market on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 September; however, it is essential you register any children planning to attend by no later than Monday 23 September by handing in a completed registration form to the Customer Service Centre.

Good behaviour vouchers

Market Relations Officers (MRO) have been keeping their eyes peeled recently, but not for a reason you might think. They have been on the lookout for Market users who are doing the right thing, so they can reward them.
Over the past few months, MROs have given out over 250 ‘Thanks for doing the right thing’ coffee vouchers that can be redeemed at Market cafes up to the value of $5, enough for a hot coffee!
Whilst it’s just a small gesture, Market users have appreciated being noticed for their positive behaviour. Some of the things people have been rewarded for include; cleaning up common areas, always wearing a seatbelt, helping others, and doing things to improve the safety of the site.
Well done to all our voucher recipients and to everyone else who helps make the Market a great and safe place to be.

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas

For the health of all Market users and to help ensure the food safety standrads of produce, smoking in the Market is only permitted in designated smoking areas.
Smoking is not permitted in stores, on the Buyer’s Walk, on the trading floor or anywhere not clearly signed as a designated smoking area. If you are found to be smoking in a non-designated area it carries a 1 demerit point penalty. Please also make sure you dispose of cigarette butts in the appropriate manner.

Ready to give up? visit the Quit website for tools on resources that will help you kick the habit for good.
