Watch: Children in the Market video

Last week’s Children in the Market was filled with smiles and laughter. Watch as our little visitors share their favourite things about the market and take on the Fruit Challenge. Even the big kids couldn’t help but get involved!

Thank you to all the kids and families who came out to celebrate. Stay tuned for the next Children in the Market event during the September school holidays.

Stay safe with emergency preparedness training

These free training sessions are a great opportunity to collaborate with the MMA and BGIS to ensure we all understand how best to stay safe during an emergency. It is strongly recommended that the fire warden from each business attend.

Emergency Response and Fire Warden Training
This session is open to all market tenants and users, including fire wardens. Its purpose is to ensure that all market users understand how to respond to an emergency, that each business’s procedures work as well as possible, fire equipment training and the roles and responsibilities of a fire warden.
When: Tuesday 6 August
Time: 6.30 am to 9.00 am
Location: Conference Room, Administration Building

Evacuation Exercise
All market users are expected to participate in the evacuation exercise if on-site.
When: Wednesday 7 August
Time: 9 am

Parking payments are past due

A reserved park in a prime location is a precious thing – now that’s a tongue-twister! A reminder that all parking permits for the July – September quarter are past due. Statements are sent in the mail or can be accessed by logging in to the My MMA Portal.

Many market users are on a waitlist for parking, so in fairness the MMA reserves the right to revoke the permit if:
– the permit holder fails to comply with all rules, guidelines and policies issued by the MMA, including making payments on time
– If the allocated bay is not occupied by the nominated vehicle for a continuous period exceeding 10 days or other such period as determined by the MMA from time to time

MarketSafe Quiz

The MarketSafe Quiz is here to help us all remember the best ways to keep ourselves and others safe at the market. In case you missed it last week, here is a reminder of how it works:

Each newsletter will feature one multiple-choice question. Users who respond correctly will be entered into the draw to win a $50 Gift Card. The correct answer and winner will be revealed in the next newsletter.

How do I enter?
To enter the draw, select your answer below. You’ll then be taken to a secure form to enter your contact details so the MMA can contact the winner. Entries will close at 9 am each Thursday. You can only enter once, and after you select your answer, it cannot be changed—so choose wisely and good luck!

Who can play?
The Quiz is open to everyone with an active Access Card. If you or someone you know has not received the newsletter, check your junk/spam folder. If it’s still not there, send your details to submissions@melbournemarket.com.au to be added to the list.
