Store Deep Clean

Cleaning of stores is essential to maintaining high standards of fresh produce and Market users’ health. Onsite cleaning manager Quayclean, offers a deep cleaning solution that uses non-hazardous chemicals and fuss-free equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to your business while completing the clean to HACCP guidelines.

Quayclean use technical grade enzyme-based chemicals, which are non-hazardous, chlorine free and effectively kill bacteria. Their purified water cleaning technology allows for the removal of dirt on walls and roofs without a high-pressure machine leaking water into adjoining stores.

Their high-pressure floor cleaning equipment captures water which minimises mess and again ensures no leaking to other market areas. Quayclean also have a scrubber and ride on sweeper based onsite available to clean store floors and warehouses.

In the video below Sash from Quayclean highlights what is involved in a store deep clean. If you would like to learn more and get a personalised quote, please contact Sash Petrevski on 0419 909 939.

Below you will see the difference the deep clean makes in the before and after photos.

Children in the Market

Children in the Market will be back these upcoming school holidays, on Tuesday, 4 and Wednesday, 5 July.

Children must be pre-registered before the event and accompanied by their parent or guardian. Please complete the registration form here, print it, and return it to Customer Service.

*Please note: All submitted forms will be automatically approved unless you are notified otherwise.

Toilet Block Cleaning

A reminder to all market users that while cleaning is being conducted in the toilet blocks and ‘Cleaning in Progress’ signs are in place, you must not enter.

Everyone, including cleaners, has a role to play in this market, and equally, everyone deserves to be treated with respect and not be subject to verbal abuse. Ignoring ‘Cleaning in Progress’ signs comprimises the privacy and safety of cleaners and market users.

If you visit a toilet that is being cleaned, you must wait until the cleaner has completed their job and removed the ‘Cleaning in Progress’ signs or use other nearby facilities.

Restraints Deadline 30 June

A reminder, to comply with WorkSafe Victoria advice, all market-approved vehicles must have an appropriate restraint/s fitted. This requirement applies to all electric vehicles, such as golf buggies, Taylor Dunns and forklifts, regardless of the year of manufacture.

WorkSafe expects all market-approved vehicles to be fitted with appropriate restraints by 30 June 2023 and will be visiting the Melbourne Market to check compliance. For any queries regarding the restraint requirement, please contact WorkSafe Victoria on 1800 136 089.

Using a casual stand on the trading floor?

A reminder to Stand users that occupying a stand other than your licensed stand/s incurs a daily casual fee of $76.85 incl GST. Leaving pallets, stock, forklifts, etc. on a vacant stand (for the trading hours) is considered usage. Please keep within your licensed stand area or you may be subject to a casual fee.

For any questions, or to explore expanding your business with additional stand space, please contact the Property Team on 9258 6140 or property@melbournemarket.com.au
