Register for the Melbourne Market Golf Day

In support of DEBRA Australia, the Melbourne Market Charity Golf Day is back and registrations are now open. This year’s golf day will be held on Friday, 13 October at Heidelberg Golf Club.

Funds raised from the Melbourne Market Charity Golf Day go toward supporting DEBRA Australia, a charity that supports individuals, families, and carers affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a rare disease whereby the skin blisters and peels at the slightest touch.

Since the inaugural golf day 10 years ago, the Melbourne Market Charity Golf Day has raised an amazing $619,274 for DEBRA Australia.

A  guaranteed fun day out, including great food, great company, and a variety of prizes and entertainment, help raise much-needed funds for DEBRA Australia this Golf Day. Whether you are a keen golfer, or just looking to show your support, there is a range of ticketing options and sponsorship opportunities available.

Meet the Grower

Meet Nait from Maliku Flowers. The family business is located in Devon Meadows, the heart of the South-East flower industry. Nait and his family specialise in a range of carnations – one of the most versatile flowers you can find!

Be sure to visit Maliku Flowers and see the wonderful range of flowers they have at the National Flower Centre!

We all deserve to work in a safe environment and go home to our families and loved ones at the end of each workday.

Wearing a hi-vis vest at the Market allows you to remain easily visible. Hi-vis vests must be worn at all times and must meet the AS/NZS 4602.1:2011 standard by having reflective strips.

Updated Site Induction Module

The Melbourne Market induction has been updated with a new module titled Market Conduct.

All new market users are now undertaking this updated induction, and in the coming months, we will begin a program where current market users will re-do the induction in line with the rollout of digital access cards.

In the meantime, we are encouraging all existing Market users to watch the module that discusses important topics including the Market’s drug and alcohol policy and respectful behaviour within the Market.

The updated induction is part of the Melbourne Market’s ‘Stronger Together’ initiative, which is about ensuring we have a Melbourne Market culture we can all be proud of through awareness, education, and policies focusing on diversity and respect.

If you have feedback about the Stronger Together program or would like to confidentially discuss issues around racism, sexism, violence, or harassment in the Melbourne Market, please email strongertogether@melbournemarket.com.au.
