Mother’s Day Campaign – #MumMoment

With Mother’s Day around the corner, we are encouraging consumers to make a special Mum Moment with flowers.

This year’s Melbourne Market Mother’s Day advertising campaign will highlight special Mum Moments through radio advertising on Nova 100 and Smooth FM and a social media competition.

Florists can get involved with the campaign using the complimentary point-of-sale material available to collect from the National Flower Centre and share on social media.

We would love to see your business involved!

1. Collect and display posters in your store – a limited number of A2 printed posters are available from the National Flower Centre (NFC)

2. Keep an eye out on social media and follow the NFC to reshare the “#MumMoment” video and help make it go viral

3. Encourage customers to share their favourite #MumMoment with the NFC social media competition

4. Use “Mum Moment” imagery on your socials – remember to follow and tag @melbourne.market and @NationalFlowerCentre for all your posts.

For all enquiries, phone Theresa, Marketing Specialist on 9258 6191.

Local florists and florals at the heart of this year’s International Flower and Garden Show

The National Flower Centre (NFC) was honoured to be invited to participate in the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, the largest Horticulture event in the Southern Hemisphere. The NFC had a prime position, with one of the biggest displays, selling just over 5,000 fresh, local blooms to the 110,000 attendees.

The event was a great success, showcasing 45 flower varieties from 20 different growers/stand holders and gave the NFC the opportunity to highlight to the local and international flower industry, as well as the general public, the diverse range of flowers and impeccable quality available from the NFC.

“The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show is the biggest horticulture event in the southern hemisphere, so it was great to see the National Flower Centre as a major exhibitor, showcasing the amazing product range our growers and wholesalers stock,” said Vince Cidoni, Grown Florists.

As well as promoting the NFC, we supported up-and-coming florists by providing 35 floristry student volunteers with the opportunity to share their knowledge and expertise and gain valuable real-world floristry experience. All volunteers have received a complimentary Access Card and will be in the market soon for a guided tour.

The success of this event would not have been possible without all growers and stand holders involved.
