National Flower Centre Satisfaction Survey

Don’t miss the opportunity to have your say. Get in quick; the National Flower Centre Satisfaction Survey closes this Wednesday, 20 December. It’s your chance to give us feedback and tell us what’s working, what can be improved, and how we can help your business.

Only taking 7-10 minutes to complete, the anonymous survey collects data to help inform decision-making and improve the operations, facilities, and opportunities at the Melbourne Market.

With a prize pool of $1500, you could take home some great prizes, like a Weber Q BBQ, a Nespresso coffee machine or a Nintendo Switch.

Christmas Trading Hours

The Melbourne Market, including the Flower Market, will be closed on public holidays during the Christmas – New Year period.

To accommodate buying demand during the busy festive season, buyers will be able to access the site to collect orders that have been pre-arranged. It is important to remember the Buyers’ Walk, Trading Floor, and Flower Market will be closed, as these are not mandatory trading days. Some wholesalers, growers and warehouse tenants may allow access to their premises for buyers who have made individual arrangements to collect produce.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Keep an eye out for Santa, who will be visiting the market on Tuesday to spread some Christmas Cheer. The MMA would like to wish the entire market community a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Be the change – Calling out bad behaviour

As a community, we have a responsibility to look out for one another and one way we can do this is to challenge anti-social behaviour that we may have previously ignored. Of course, we only control our actions and can’t be responsible for other people’s behaviour. However, there are some things we can do that will make people stop and think about what they are saying or doing and the negative impact it may be causing.

Show Disapproval: Don’t laugh or join in. Make it clear in your body language and words that you don’t agree. You can ask questions to show your disapproval, like, “How was that funny?”

Speak up: Call it out if it is safe to do so.
“That comment is offensive to women, and it’s not on.”

Make it personal: point out how their behaviour or comments could affect someone they know.
“Imagine if someone threatened your son like that.”

If you have witnessed issues around racism, sexism, violence, bullying or harassment in the Melbourne Market, you can make a confidential report. Please email strongertogether@melbournemarket.com.au or call 0488 413 098.
