Call for nominations to the Flower Advisory Committee

The Flower Advisory Committee works with the MMA to advise on matters relating to Market operations and the cut flower industry.

The term of the existing Advisory Committee members is due to expire.

The MMA is seeking nominations by individuals or industry organisations.

You can download relevant forms below or pick up in hard copy from MMA Administration reception between 7.00 am and 3.00 pm Monday- Friday.

Market Espresso Bar now open for business

The much anticipated opening of the new Flower Market Cafe- Market Espresso Bar- has arrived. With streamlined design and external seating, you can sip your coffee while taking in the buzz of the Flower Market in trade. If you haven’t done so, pop in and say hello to Norm and the team.

Australia Day public holiday trading 

The Melbourne Flower Market will be closed Tuesday, 26 January for Australia Day.

Unreserved parking payments – a reminder to Florists

Like all other Market users, florists need to pay for unreserved parking at Epping to contribute to the operating costs of the Market.

Florists were given a free parking period at Epping of four months which expired 31 December, 2015.

Unreserved florist parking fees are:

Unreserved uncovered – rigid truck $116.20 (inc GST) per quarter
Unreserved uncovered – car/van $102.95 (inc GST) per quarter

This is the equivalent of paying $3.96 per visit if you utilise the Market twice per week in a car/van.

Invoices are currently being sent for the January/February/March period. The invoices will outline the payment due date and how to make payments by electronic funds transfer.

Ensure you make payment by the due date to ensure your access card continues to activate the boom gates at Gate 1.

A-pack

Flower Market supplier A-Pack now have a dedicated parking bay available behind their store for customers. This will allow florists the ability to park and pick up orders more conveniently.
