Score some fantastic prizes – complete the Melbourne Flower Market Satisfaction Survey today!
The Melbourne Flower Market Satisfaction Survey is now open. It’s your chance to let us know what’s working, what can be improved, and how we can assist your business.

This anonymous survey takes just 7-10 minutes to complete. We use the data collected to help inform our decision-making and improve the operations, facilities and opportunities at the Melbourne Market.

All valid access cardholders who complete the survey will go into the draw to win one of three amazing prizes. **T&Cs apply.

1st prize: Hisense 55″ 4K UHD LED Smart TV (valued at $695)
2nd prize: Eufy RoboVac (valued at $299)
3rd prize: Sennheiser HD Over-Ear Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones (valued at $149)

As a bonus, the first 75 people to complete the survey will receive a $15 voucher to use at participating Market cafes.

Please note:
Each person can only complete the survey once.
You must enter your Market access card number to be in the running for all prizes.

Advisory Committee meetings held earlier this month
At the beginning of December, the Flower Advisory Committee met with the MMA to provide advice and discuss matters relating to Market operations and the flower industry.

Key themes discussed by the groups during December included the cleaning of the site, improving the culture of the Market, gate 1 traffic management, a new Melbourne Market mobile phone app, an overview of the National Flower Centre rollout and more.

Speaking to your advisory committee members is an effective way to raise key issues with the MMA.

For a full list of Advisory Committee members and to view minutes from previous meetings, visit the MMA website.

Lunar New Year 2023
2023 is the year of the Rabbit, and to celebrate, the Market is welcoming back the Chinese Youth Society of Melbourne to perform the traditional lion dance and blessings on Tuesday, 24 January 2023.

To ensure every business that wishes to receive a blessing on the day is included in the schedule, please email the MMA at submissions@melbournemarket.com.au

Santa’s coming to town for flood-affected growers this Christmas

The MMA, Fresh State and A better choice! have kicked off the fundraiser with a combined $30,000 for flood-affected fruit and vegetable growers this festive season – but we need your help too!

The Melbourne Market donation page is live. Funds donated to GIVIT will provide immediate relief items such as food, groceries, clothing, petrol, hardware and housing to help growers recover from the devastating floods. Click here to donate via GIVIT now

A core part of GIVIT’s philosophy is to help those directly affected by the floods and the wider local community, so where possible, donated funds are spent at local retailers, who employ local people, providing opportunity and lifeblood to small towns.
Funds will be distributed to growers in high-impact flood areas, representing some of the most essential Victorian growing regions.

For those that don’t get a chance to donate online, Santa will be visiting the Market and on Thursday 22 December, to spread some festive cheer and collect donations from the market community.

Christmas Trading Hours
The Melbourne Market, including the Flower Market, will be closed on public holidays during the Christmas – New Year period.

To accommodate buying demand, buyers will have access to the Melbourne Market on Monday, 26 and Tuesday, 27 December, to collect pre-arranged produce orders only. It is important to remember the Buyers’ Walk, Trading Floor, and Flower Market will be closed, as these are not mandatory trading days. Some wholesalers and warehouse tenants may allow access to their premises for buyers who have made individual arrangements to collect produce.
