| Easter trading hours
The Market will be closed as per usual on public holidays during the Easter and Anzac Day period as follows:
Thursday 9 April – regular trading hours
Friday 10 April, Good Friday – Market closed
Saturday 11 April, Easter Saturday – Flower Market open for trade
Monday 13 April, Easter Monday – Market closed
Tuesday 14 April – regular trading hours
Friday 24 April – regular trading hours
Saturday 25 April, Anzac Day – Flower Market closed
Monday 27 April – regular trading hours
If your parking permit only allows access on a day that falls on one of the public holidays, and you would like to come to the Market on an alternative adjacent day, you will not be charged for parking and can enter the Market. However please note, your regular bay may not be available. Please see a Market Relations Officer on arrival for instruction.
Temperature screening continues
As you would have already experienced, temperature screening prior to entry started last Thursday.
We want to extend our thanks to all Market users for your response to the new health and safety measure. Everyone has been patient and understanding as we work to get market users through the gate each morning.
Social distancing critical
The critical piece of advice for Market users is, if you are feeling unwell, you should stay at home and seek medical advice. Do not attend the Market for work, or to purchase produce, if you are feeling unwell in any way.
Personal hygiene and practising social distancing continues to be essential while at the Melbourne Market.
- You must remain at least 1.5 metres from other Market users wherever possible
- You must be regularly washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer regularly
It’s up to all of us to ensure these practices are being followed.
