Coronavirus (COVID-19) update – Monday 15 February Queen Victoria Market tier-one COVID exposure site Last night the Section 2 Fruit and Vegetable Shed at the Queen Victoria Market (QVM) was listed as a tier-one COVID exposure site. Upon learning of the news last night the MMA immediately sent an SMS to all buyers, alerting them to the information and advising that if they had attended QVM on Thursday, 11 February between 8:25 am – 10:10 am they needed to immediately isolate, get tested, and must not attend the Melbourne Market. The MMA is currently in contact with QVM management, cross-checking the list of QVM fruit and vegetable traders from Thursday with our own access card data since that time. We are contacting any affected market users to talk through isolation and testing requirements on a case by case basis. We remind all market users that if you have attended any known COVID exposure site, you should notify the MMA and you must not attend the Melbourne Market until you complete required testing or isolation and cleared by the DHHS. A list of tier 1, 2 and 3 exposure sites can be found on the DHHS website by clicking here.
