A Guide to Parking at Epping

As week two at the new Market comes to a close, a reminder is timely of the parking guidelines we all need to follow. These are in place to ensure the Market can run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Enforcement is about to commence regarding:

• parking in bays allocated to the nominated vehicle
• appropriate vehicle type for the parking bay
• display of vehicle permits.

Remember the associated conditions with parking permits mean Permit Holders must not assign, sub-licence or transfer parking permits. Those caught engaging in any illegal activity associated with parking permits risk eviction from the Market and cancellation of leases or licences. Vehicle types

A summary of what vehicles are considered appropriate for each parking bay type is provided below.

Articulated truck parking bays

To have access to an articulated truck parking bay you must have an articulated trailer registered with VicRoads and the MMA. If you have an articulated truck and a registered ridged truck and they are not in the market on the same day you can park the ridged on the articulated truck bay. Parking light commercial vehicles (LCVs) or passenger vehicles on an articulated truck bay is strictly prohibited at any time.

Ridged truck parking bays

To have access to a ridged parking bay you must have a ridged truck registered with VicRoads and the MMA. If you have a ridged truck and a LCV and they are not in the market on the same day you can park the LCV on the ridged truck bay. Parking passenger vehicles on a ridged parking bay is strictly prohibited at any time.

Light Commercial Vehicle parking bays

To have access to a LCV parking bay you must have a LCV registered with Vic Roads and the MMA. If you have a LCV and a utility, or similar commercial vehicle, and they are not in the market on the same day you can park the utility on the LCV bay. Parking passenger vehicles on a LCV bay is strictly prohibited at any time.

Passenger vehicle parking is restricted to parking zones P1 to P6.

Payment for your allocated parking required NOW

Payment for allocated parking bays is required by Friday, 11 September, 2015 in order to receive your permit. Payment can be made at the Ground Floor of the Administration building between 5.30 am and 10.00 am.
