Drug and alcohol testing in the workplace

The MMA recently held a drug and alcohol awareness training program for managers and one of the key discussions was the introduction of drug and alcohol testing in the workplace.If a business wants to introduce workplace drug and alcohol testing, there are a few points which need to be considered first.

Businesses must have a drug and alcohol policy and procedures in place before testing is introduced. It’s also important employees are educated about the terms of your policies and procedures, and are aware that testing will take place.

The strengths and limitations, costs and potential unintended consequences, as well as the benefits, also need to be considered.

Safety in the Market

Keeping pedestrians safe on the Buyers’ Walk

If you operate an electric vehicle on the Buyers’ Walk it’s your obligation to drive safely, stay within the speed limits and park your vehicle appropriately.So where can you park your vehicle? Electric vehicles must park on the edge of the carriage way. They are not permitted to park on or across the pedestrian paths or in the centre of the electric vehicle lanes.
