Emergency Management training at the Market
To assist in creating a safe working environment, the MMA is offering a free training session on the emergency management procedures at the Melbourne Market.
The course will provide information on:
- location of emergency assembly areas
- warden structures and covering basic responsibilities
- raising the alarm of an emergency
- evacuating safely in the event of a fire or hazardous materials emergency
- the type of fire equipment available
The session is open to all Market users with tea and coffee provided.

ATM update
The Commonwealth Bank has removed its ATM located in the Flower Market.
The MMA is working on a replacement ATM and this is likely to take a couple of months.
In the meantime, the Commonwealth Bank ATM located near the Customer Service Centre on the Buyers’ Walk of the Fruit & Vegetable Market is still available.
Advisory Committee vacancy nominations
A reminder a position on the Flower Industry Advisory Committee has become available.
The MMA is seeking nominations by individuals or industry organisations.
Please note the term of this position will be until March 2019.
Download the nomination form and terms of reference or pick them up in hard copy from the MMA Administration between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
Signed nomination forms must be received no later than 3pm on Wednesday 28 June 2017.
